About the Project

Ft. Eisenhower Microgrid Project

Our Industrial + Commercial engineering team provided engineering and project support services for a microgrid project at Fort Eisenhower under Georgia Power, with final commissioning completed in June 2025.

A microgrid is a localized energy system that can operate independently or alongside the main grid, designed to enhance energy reliability and resilience. Work on this project began in mid-2022, with final design wrapped up in December 2024 and installation and testing completed in May 2025.

CES played a key role throughout the project, including preliminary engineering and development of the Request for Proposal (RFP), contractor bid reviews and selection recommendations, and serving as the Engineer of Record for site design and installation. The team also coordinated with generator, controls, and switchgear vendors to deliver a complete system, reviewed and approved all equipment submittals, verified field installation and testing, and supported the final commissioning and turnover to the Army.
