About the Project

DeRenne Stormwater Pump Station Control Upgrade

Our Power Services team completed a major control upgrade at the DeRenne Stormwater Pump Station in Savannah—a critical facility that protects the city by pumping rainwater runoff from storm drains to local waterways and the Atlantic Ocean during heavy rains and flooding, even at high tide. Relying on eight 600-horsepower pumps powered by backup generators, the station plays a key role in keeping floodwaters under control and safeguarding the community.

As part of this project, our team partnered with ComAp to modernize the station’s outdated analog control panels, replacing them with state-of-the-art digital touchscreen panels. This upgrade not only enhanced system reliability, but also gave operators real-time visibility and greater control over the standby power system. With these modernized controls, the customer gained simplified access to critical data and improved operational efficiency, ensuring the pump station continues to perform at its best when it’s needed most.
